I have been a Dunlop fan ever since I have ridden SP Sport 9000 tyres on my Audi V8, which rode as good on wet as it did on dry roads. Now my son has these tyres on his Audi A8. Nowadays I ride SP Sport Maxx GT tyres on my Audi S5 and I can only praise these tyres on reliability and safety. Only in an optical way is the SP Sport 9000 unbeatable.

Key benefits

  • Enhanced driving response in dry conditions.
  • More steering precision.
  • Outstanding high speed and cornering stability.

Asymmetric Tread Design

WHAT?

Asymmetric tread design provides improved aquaplaning resistance. The continuous centre rib increases stability and precision. The asymmetric groove arrangement enhances grip on wet and dry surfaces.

BENEFITS?

With improved performance in both a straight line and around corners, you will enjoy the pleasure of driving.

Flatter tread profile

WHAT?

The new generation of Dunlop tyres features a flatter tread profile with a 4-8% bigger contact patch, depending on size and type of tyre. A flatter profile with bigger contact patch delivers more stability and enhanced road feedback, allowing tyres to respond quickly and precisely.

BENEFITS?

Increased stability and steering precision counteracts heel and toe wear, excellent cornering stability and precision, superior dry grip.

RunOnFlat (ROF)<br/>Dunlop Self Supporting Technology (DSST)

ROF technology

The Dunlop RunOnFlat technology ensures mobility even without air. The Dunlop RunOnFlat tyre patented sidewall construction minimizes flexing and the risk of detachment from the rim. A completely deflated Dunlop RunOnFlat tyre offers continued mobility within a distance of 80 km/50 miles at 80 kmh/50 mph maximum speed – under normal driving conditions.

Advantages of the Dunlop RunOnFlat technology:

• The patented sidewall construction carries the vehicle’s weight even when the tyre is deflated.
• Special tyre construction with newly developed compounds avoids tyre destruction due to excessive flexing.
• Dunlop RunOnFlat tyres can be mounted on any standard rim (steel/alloy) without any special tools.

MT - RunOnFlat Winter

Safety Notice
Dunlop RunOnFlat tyres should only be mounted on cars that are designed for run flat tyres and equipped with a fully operating tyre pressure warning device, e.g. Dunlop WARNAIR. A maximum distance of 80km/50 miles and the maximum speed of 80 kmh/50 mph should not be exceeded. Please refer to your car’s manual as manufacturers’ advice for a particular vehicle may differ from the Dunlop safety notice.

Multi Radius Tread (MRT)

WHAT?

MRT Designs employ ten different radii and are therefore more precise. Therefore we can guarantee highly effective pressure deployment on the road contact patch. The effect is smoother transition from straight to corner, leading to more precise and progressive reactions.

BENEFITS?

A clear benefit is significantly better control over the evolution of the footprint in all driving conditions. MRT also offers outstanding dry AND wet handling, more control in cornering.

Tire Construction - Specific Bead Seat System

WHAT?

A specific bead seat system strengthening the link between tyre and rim for maximum control and a more precise driving experience. Like the grip between your hand and the steering wheel, it ensures enhanced control and conveys outstanding road feedback.

BENEFITS?

Enhanced road feedback, more stability and precision.

Aquaplaning Resistance - Variable Land to Sea Ratio

WHAT?

Asymmetric tread design with a variable land to sea ratio provides improved aquaplaning resistance. The massive outer shoulder block delivers rapid and turbulence free water drain which results in outstanding cornering stability.

BENEFITS?

Increased contact with the road, enhanced cornering stability, high aquaplaning resistance, enhanced grip and steering precision in turns.

Maximum Flange Shield temperature range (MFS)

WHAT?

The Dunlop MFS system is a some kind of rim flange protection. A profile of rubber runs around the circumference of the tyre, located low on the side wall above the wheel flange creating a buffer zone.

BENEFITS?

Rim protection that protects expensive alloy wheels from kerbing.

Jointless Belt (JLB)

WHAT?

Jointless nylon bandage with 0° layer. This is a Hybrid Overlay Technology that guarantees very reduced circumferential deformation at high speed.

BENEFITS?

Superior high speed stability, smooth wear, excellent highspeed stability and very good wear resistance.

Nanoparticles

WHAT?

Tread compound mixed with nanoparticles of racing carbon black. This compound optimized with resin and polymer has proven excellent adhesion on dry and wet roadways in our motorsport tyres.

BENEFITS?

Superior grip, precise braking. improved dry and wet grip, improved dry and wet braking, improved wear, enhanced adhesion on dry and wet roadways and better transmission of forces.

Dual Silica Compound

WHAT?

This dual silica compound guarantees low wear and tear. It will drastically improve your driving pleasure due to his improved acceleration performance.

BENEFITS?

Superb braking and acceleration performance, excellent handling on summerlike and hibernal road conditions, high grip, low wear and tear, broad operable.

Silica-Plus Compound

WHAT?

The silica-plus rubber compound is a motorsport derived tread compound gives a better dispersion high adherence.

BENEFITS?

Superb braking and acceleration performance, high grip, low wear and tear.
