Subaru Impreza WRX STI on Dunlop tyres

After extensive tyre tests Subaru has chosen Dunlop as original equipment tyre supplier for its famous 2008 Impreza WRX STI. The Subaru Impreza WRX STI will be equipped with Dunlop SP Sport 01 tyres in the size 235/45R17 94W.

Dunlop, with its long motorsport heritage and experience, is the ideal fitment for the Subaru Impreza WRX STI which is built upon a successful rally car heritage. The STI is more than a car, it's a culture.

Equipped with a 221 kW (300 horsepower) 2.5 litre intercooled, turbocharged Subaru Boxer-engine, which won an ‘International Engine of the Year Award 2008’, the latest Impreza WRX STI requires tyres with a top performance in all areas.

The asymmetrical tread pattern of the Dunlop SP Sport 01 is divided into three tread segments: Longitudinal-Rail-System; Hydro-Paddles; and Parallelogram-Block-Design for a sporty, confident and silent ride.
