At Dunlop, we test our tyres rigorously against lots of performance parameters. We call it our 360° Quality Test approach, and by testing them ourselves, we can be confident that independent tyre testers will also see the incredible performance of Dunlop tyres.
We also frequently refer to independent testing bodies, magazines and auto clubs which we have listed below.
The criteria for testing tyres can change depending on who is performing the test and what kind of tyre is being tested. Each tyre will go through a series of tests that typically include:
The Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club was founded in 1896 and is an independent, not-for-profit organisation.

EU Tyre Label ratings evaluate a tyre based on three performance characteristics: fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise as well as now including snow and ice performance.
Our own tests, run by Dunlop engineers, test tyres against more than 50 performance parameters.
The Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 took first place in the What Tyre UHP Tyre of the Year 2021 awards, commended for it's impressive performance across a wide range of tests.
